United Airlines opened a contest for women to submit designs for an airplane, this design contest was called Her Art Here. There were two regions to represent, California and New York. I chose California where I spent half my time growing up living with my father in the summers in California and my mother during the year in Arizona. I used California’s state bird, the quail, as well as flowers of California.
